Hip hop lessons are popular dance classes for kids

It’s easy to see why hip hop lessons are popular dance classes for kids. The style is energetic and exciting and does not essentially require a partner although usually does involve a group.
There are of course different ways to learn to dance hip hop but the most popular method to take hip hop lessons is as a group since it’s easier to get to groups with the complex moves together.
Helping eachother when you are struggling with the range of dance moves to learn is a good way to get a better understanding of the moves you use in your own dance.
Private dance lessons are good when you have got to grips with the basic moves but don’t tend to be the best way to start.
If you are looking to increase your repetoir then you can try one of the learn to dance online sites, or even try making new moves up yourself. After all this is the way street dance evolves by those involved expanding with their own personal interpretation of the music and others adopting the moves.

Children’s dance classes

Learning to do something new is easier when you are younger, especially when it is something physical. Children’s dance classes, are really popular, particularly ballet for girls. Boys tend to shy away from learning to dance.
The lack of male dance partners at adult dance events results from this imbalance in younger life.
Dancing is fun and it keeps you fit so I believe everyone should be encouraged to dance regularly from an early age. Dance classes for kids should be supported by the community financially and encouraged socially.
Often when you go to school events there is some sort of display, a gymnastics team or childrens dance group. These are unfortunately dominated by girls while team sports such as football and rugby tend to be dominated by boys.
In these days of social equality both boys and girls should have equal opportunity to enjoy all activities without the social stigma of traditional separation of activities.
In the long term this is achievable, but unfortunately it’s the parents who have been brought up with these traditions that perpetuate them with theirattitude rather than encouraging their children to enjoy all activities including children’s dance classes.
